Thorpe Park has unveiled the UK’s ‘tallest and fastest roller coaster’ in a thrilling new point-of-view (POV) video.

Set to launch in 2024, ‘Hyperia’ soars to 236 feet (71m) in height and reaches full-throttle speeds of over 80mph.

Thorpe Park claims thrill seekers will ‘twist like never before’ and ‘feel weightless’ aboard the new ride.

The Surrey-based resort, which won the award as the best theme park for thrills at this year’s UK Theme Park Awards 2023, says: ‘Once you’ve experienced Hyperia you’ll never fear again.’

Hyperia is currently being manufactured by Mack Rides, with construction having begun in January 2023, according to Theme Park Tourist

The ride features three inversions including a dive loop and an ‘Immelman’ – which is a hill climb followed by a half loop and a half twist.
