The Best ‘Marvel Snap’ Wong Zola Panther Combo Deck For Climbing The Ladder

It’s a new season of Marvel Snap, so time to start climbing the ladder again. I posted a new deck based on the addition of Silver Surfer to the card pool, but I wanted to circle back around to what is probably my most successful deck on the ladder, one based around Wong, Arnim Zola and a number of other cards.

I like this deck because it has a number of different win conditions. Many decks can be shredded if you just don’t draw or lose one specific card (Patriot, Apocalypse, Death), but this one doesn’t work that way, and has a lot of win conditions. Here’s the list, and I’ll go over tactics along the way:

1 – Iceman – The most annoying card in the game

1 – Yondu – For killing America Chavez

2 – Okoye – Full deck buffs are nice

2 – Scorpion – The second most annoying card in the game

3 – Ironheart – Pair with Wong and Odin for potential 2x/4x buffs across the board

3 – Polaris – I just like Polaris for board disruption

4 – Jubilee – Can draw out some big boys and do fun things like pull Odin or Zola early. But if you have Wong in hand, play him instead

4 – Wong – Your set-up for all your combos

5 – White Tiger – Pair with Wong, Odin or Zola for a board full of tigers

5 – Black Panther – Ideally, you put him on Wong, then put Zola there who will transport both of them. But I win many games just by putting him in a lane by himself with Zola, who then replicates him for 16 power in your other two spots on the board, because he activates his On Reveal again.

6 – Zola For duplicating Wongs, Tigers and Panthers

6 – Odin – For throwing as the last card on Wong, probably to 4x boost Ironheart or White Tiger

You can probably start to see all the various win conditions here:

  • Wong – Ironheart – Odin – 6x total buffs
  • Wong – White Tiger – Odin – 6x total tigers
  • Wong – Ironheart/Panther/Tiger – Zola – 2x more locations of activation
  • Panther – Zola – 16+ power in two spots
  • Tiger – Zola – Two more tigers to leap around
  • Panther – Odin – A huge lane

There’s a lot of flexibility here in ways that other decks don’t have. The problem with this deck has become that it’s so popular that people are starting to catch on, so a Wong or a solo Panther lane might see Cosmo played there the next turn which will kill your On Reveal plans. But most of the time, it works every time, and I’ve had amazing luck with it so far.
