Rep. Lauren Boebert won’t see her ‘Beetlejuice’ date again

Colorado representative Lauren Boebert has no interest in going on another date with her “Beetlejuice” beau, who is a Democrat and the co-owner of an Aspen bar that has previously hosted LGBTQ-friendly events, according to reports.

The hard-right rep and her lack of theater etiquette have been dominating headlines since she was booted from Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre amid a performance of Broadway’s “Beetlejuice: The Musical” on September 10.

Video taken inside the venue shows Boebert puffing away on a vape as she searches for her seat and then dancing, singing along and snapping selfies — with flash —  throughout the show. She was also caught getting handsy with her date, who TMZ has identified as Quinn Gallagher.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert and a male friend were asked to leave the Buelle Theater in Denver during a performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical where witnesses said the right-wing representative was speaking loudly, waving her arms, vaping (pictured) and being generally disruptive.

Boebert told the gossip website on Monday that Gallagher is a “wonderful man” but that they have “peacefully parted at this time.” She also took accountability for her behavior, but emphasized the outing was “part of my personal life, my private time, something that I rarely indulge in.”

“It’s always hard when there’s gravity put on the voters. I’m here to provide levity, so anytime they’re carrying mine, it’s something I feel deep inside,” she told TMZ upon her return to Washington D.C. Monday night. “Ultimately, all future date nights have been canceled and I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date.”

According to the Aspen Times, Gallagher runs Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar in Aspen with his business partner, Pat Flannigan. The popular watering hole has hosted several events in support of the LGBTQ+ community, including a women’s party for Aspen Gay Ski Week and a “Winter Wonderland Burlesque & Drag Show.

In the days since Gallagher’s outing with Boebert, the bar’s Facebook page has been flooded with a series of negative comments, many of them pointing out the difference in the short-lived couple’s politics.

“Gotta love your owner dating a bigot while accepting money from your customers while you host drag shows. Money is all that matters huh?” one person wrote.

Another chimed in: “Total hypocrite- hosting drag events and dating anti drag nut job.”

Boebert, who has made a name for herself in the GOP with her fierce anti-LGBTQ+ stance, maintained the choice not to date Gallagher was not due to their difference in politics, but rather her desire to focus on her work.

“We’re here in D.C.,” she told TMZ, “and I’m focusing on taking care of my people.”
