There may have been political junkies who had a thing for Dianne Feinstein, Jeanne Kirkpatrick or Elizabeth Warren, but today’s crop of representatives and wannabe pols is enough to get the blood boiling.

Gun-loving Colorado firebrand Lauren Boebert and aspiring Virginia Democrat Susanna Gibson have both generated big headlines of late for matters not relating to policy.

Boebert was ensnared this week in something we’ll call Gropegate while Gibson had her star turn in a mom-and-pop porno that emerged from the bowels of the internet.

And of course, there’s always a chaser of hypocrisy to go with the bawdy beer.

In 2011, GOP Congresswoman from Idaho, Helen Chenoweth, confessed to a six-year affair with a married man. This came on the heels of her lambasting her Democratic opponent.

Previously, Chenoweth had hammered former U.S. President Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandal, saying the, er, indiscretion had “severely damaged his ability to lead our nation, and the free world.”

As for her own indiscretions, she said:  “I’ve asked for God’s forgiveness, and I’ve received it.”

Here’s a breakdown of some recent sex scandals involving U.S. female politicians.

WHO? MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE – REPUBLICAN

WHAT? The Georgia peach is a major Donald Trump fangirl and has some peculiar political opinions, including widely debunked conspiracies. But the heart wants what it wants and the blond bombshell’s 27-year marriage imploded in 2022. It seems for years, Greene, 49, had been colouring outside the lines with personal trainers and a tantric sex guru.

NOTED: Greene was at one time besties with ideological soulmate Lauren Boebert but split following a verbal bathroom brawl in Congress over House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

WHO? KATIE HILL – DEMOCRAT

WHAT? Even enlightened California voters might take a pass on a swinging politician. The Golden State Dem lasted less than a year in Congress after it emerged she was living in a threesome (hubby and campaign aide) and having sexual affairs with male and female staffers on the Hill. Now 36 and out of politics, the rookie admitted being bisexual. Nude photos emerged.

NOTED: Hill resigned in October 2019 and sued the Daily Mail for running nude photos of her. She lost and had to pay the paper $220,000. Last year she declared bankruptcy.

WHO? LAUREN BOEBERT – REPUBLICAN

WHAT? The pistol-packing politico, 36, went on a family-friendly date night at a Denver theatre for a performance of Beetlejuice. Problem? The mother-of-four and recent divorcee was nabbed in her seat vaping and … uh … fondling her date who groped her right back. The vaping, singing and groping were too much for other audience members and she was given the boot.

NOTED: Worse, Boebert arm candy Quinn Gallagher is a Democrat and co-owner of Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar, which has hosted drag shows in the past. Boebert has blasted drag shows in the past, writing: “Take your children to Church, not drag bars.”

WHO? SUSANNA GIBSON  – DEMOCRAT

WHAT? Wannabe Virginia pol hoping for a spot in that state’s House of Delegates had her star turn two weeks ago. Gibson’s sexcapades with her husband were captured on webcam for the raunchy Chaturbate site. The 40-year-old nurse practitioner hosted more than a dozen live sex romps in hormone-charged hijinks with her lawyer-hubby. She asked her more than 5,000 fans for tips, promising she was “raising money for a good cause.” She is “ethically non-monogamous.”

NOTED: Hell, no … she won’t go.

WHO? STACEY PLASKETT – DEMOCRAT

WHAT? Sex tape? Sure! In 2016, the Virgin Islands rep saw a “private” videotape emerge featuring her topless and her husband naked and wearing makeup. The versatile politician does the filming. She blamed “political enemies” for the release of the “bizarre video” while acknowledging that it was real.

NOTED: Plaskett has at least one unsavoury connection in the form of dead billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Of course, the twisted financier owned two properties in the USVI. Plaskett tapped him up — after his underage sex conviction — and he complied. He gave millions to island politicians and in return, Epstein got a $300 million tax break and was allowed to fly underage girls in and out of the islands to be abused.
