Keeway unveils new 250cc cruiser and two 300cc scooters: India launch next week

Hungary-based Keeway, Benelli’s sister company, recently unveiled its three products – K-Light 250V cruiser motorcycle, Vieste 300 maxi scooter and Sixties 300i scooter in India. The Keeway models will be launching in the country next week and will be brought here through the CKD route. The brand has already commenced online bookings for these three products at an initial amount of Rs 10,000. The Keeway two-wheelers’ test rides will begin starting 26th of May 2022.

Keeway K-Light 250V cruiser motorcycleFeaturing a sculpted 20-litre fuel tank, the Keeway K-Light 250V cruiser motorcycle gets a circular headlamp, contoured seat, swingarm-mounted mudguard and dual exhaust pipes. According to Keeway, it is the first 250cc cruiser motorcycle to get a belt drive system and V-twin engine.

Powering the cruiser motorcycle is a 249cc air-cooled four-valve V-twin engine that produces 18.7 hp power and 19 Nm torque. It utilizes the belt drive system to send power to the rear wheel through a five-speed gearbox.

Moving on to the features, the K-Light 250 gets alloy R16 alloy wheels, LED headlamp and tail-lamp, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and more. It will be available in three paint schemes – Matte Blue, Matte Dark Grey and Matte Black.

Keeway Vieste 300 maxi-scooter

The Vieste 300 maxi-scooter maxi-scooter gets a headlamp with 4 LED projectors, a tinted windscreen, LED tail-lamp, a keyless start/stop option and more. It makes use of a 278.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-valve engine producing 18.7 [email protected],500 rpm and 22 [email protected],000 rpm.


Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and hydraulic shocks at the rear. Moreover, the Vieste 300 receives 13-inch alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS and 12-litre fuel tank.

Matte Black, Matte White and Matte Blue will be three colour options available in the Vieste 300.

Keeway Sixties 300i scooter

As the name suggests, the Keeway Sixties 300i is a scooter inspired by the 60’s era. Featuring retro styling elements like a front apron grille, a hexagonal headlamp, split seats and ‘Sixties’ badging.

In terms of engine, the scooter is powered by the same 278.2cc single-cylinder engine as Vieste 300. It has a small 10-litre fuel tank and 12-inch wheels compared to the Vieste 300.

Some key highlights of the Sixties 300i include LED lighting, a multi-function ignition switch and front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. Colour options include Matte White, Matte Grey and Matte Light Blue.

Keeway plans to launch eight models in the Indian market this year. Following the launch of the aforementioned models, the brand will introduce another cruiser, a street naked, race replica motorcycle and two retro-style street motorcycles in the Indian market, as per media reports.
