The Boston Bruins (+600* to win Stanley Cup) recently ended their unbeaten 14-game home streak in a shootout loss to the Las Vegas Golden Knights (+600), the best team in the west. Led by ageless Patrice Bergeron (65 per cent faceoff wins), top-10 scorer David Pasternak (39 pts.) and a cast of veteran teammates, the Bruins are winning at a torrid .839 winning percentage as of this writing.

Speaking of streaks, Mitch Marner of the Toronto Maple Leafs (+800) has extended his points streak to 23 games. The Leafs are also on a heater, picking up at least one point in 15 consecutive games. William Nylander’s career season (17 goals) has picked up the slack as Leafs Nation waits for Austin Matthews to go on a goal-scoring tear of his own. With a point-a-game pace, John Tavares is playing like the captain of old.

The Tampa Bay Lightning (+1300) have won three in a row and are 7-3 in their last ten games, having just thumped the Pacific Division’s second-place Seattle Kraken 6-2 at home. Nikita Kucherov sits fifth in the scoring race with 42 points. Captain Steven Stamkos (34 pts) is resurgent with top-20 scoring numbers. Perennial Vezina Trophy candidate Andrei Vasilevskiy is still rounding into shape.

The Detroit Red Wings (+5900), Montréal Canadiens (+13900) and Florida Panthers (+2200), the 2021-22 Presidents’ Trophy winners, are all playing respectable hockey with winning percentages above .500. Detroit and Montréal continue to rely on youth to outplay expectations. Florida is starting to gel after several off-season personnel changes.
