But Grant, 62, was called out on social media for being “rude” to the model as she tried to conduct an interview with him ahead of the broadcast on the red carpet.

When Graham asked what he liked most about the awards show, Grant said, “It’s fascinating. The whole of humanity is here. It’s a vanity fair,” which she mistakenly confused with the post-show party held by Vanity Fair magazine.

Graham continued by asking softball questions: What are you wearing? (“Just my suit,” he countered dismissively.) Who are you excited to see? (“No one in particular,” he tersely replied.)

Clearly seeing he was frustrated, she tried to steer the questioning to his appearance in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay.

“I’m barely in it,” he said, brushing her off. “I’m in it for three seconds.”

“But still, you showed up and had fun, right?” she asked, gamely trying to keep the interview going.

“Almost,” Grant snarkily answered.

Grant ended their brief chat with an eye-roll. The exchange quickly went viral with many on social media asking why he stopped to do an interview on the red carpet if he was going to be such a ‘d—.’

“Hugh Grant appears to be shocked they are asking him questions during an interview wow what a d—,” one critic snapped.

Grant’s sour attitude comes after he admitted earlier this month that he threw a tantrum with an extra while filming his upcoming fantasy Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

“I lost my temper with a woman in my eyeline on day one,” the Grant said in a recent interview with Total Film magazine {via Yahoo!]. “I assumed she was some executive from the studio who should have known better.”

Grant said he “did a Christian Bale” on the woman.

“She’s an extremely nice local woman who was the chaperone of the young girl,” the Brit explained.

He said he felt “terrible” and the episode ended with him “grovelling” for her to forgive him.
