The new Genshin Impact 3.3 Update has brought new stories and quests for travelers to enjoy, featuring popular, playable characters such as Wanderer, Arataki Itto, Ayato, Heizou, and more.
In a new event called ‘Akito Kimodameshi,’ travelers are given the opportunity to participate in the ‘Test of Courage,’ an event hosted by the Yashiro Commission in Inazuma. To start your journey to completion for this event, just follow our instructions below.
How To Complete The ‘Test Of Courage’ Quest
The first thing you will want to do to begin the ‘Test of Courage’ Quest is to use the Teleport Waypoint shown above, next to the Kamisato Estate. When you arrive, you’ll want to head into the Estate and begin a conversation with Ayato.
During the conversation, Ayato will give you a rundown on the rules of the Test of Courage. This will require looking for an item around the Chinju Forest, and whoever finds it first wins the round. There will be a total of 3 rounds in the Test of Courage. The awards you receive are based on how many rounds you win. If you win all 3 rounds, you will get a grand reward from the Grand Narukami Shrine.
After talking with Ayato, you will then want to leave the Kamisato Estate, where you will find Arataki Itto outside. Talk with him, and he will ask for your help in scaring people during the event.
Then, head to the Test of Courage event location shown above. Another cutscene will begin with Itto, where he will ask for your help in assessing his ability to scare people.
After the conversation, you will want to head to the area shown above to talk to an event staff member or Shrine Maiden. She will inform you that to participate in the event, you will need to find another partner.
In the area, you can choose between 3 characters: Gorou, Kamisato Ayaka, and Kaedehara Kazuha. You can approach all of the characters individually to talk to them and choose whichever character you prefer to be your partner. When you choose your partner, head back to the Shrine Maiden to begin the first round.
The Shrine Maiden will tell you the first item you will be looking for, which is ‘Dango Milk.’ There will be signs around to help you find the item in the forest.
Begin following the signs down the path. When you reach the end of the hill, there will be three signs to choose from: one pointing forward, one pointing to the left, and one pointing to the right. Head to the left-hand path.
Once you start your journey down the left-hand path, you will again want to take a left turn. Walk up the path until you see a Statue.
When you reach the area of the statue, immediately head right until you see a glowing arrow above a basket of Dango Milk.
You will then begin another cutscene with whichever character you choose( in our case Kazuha), who will spot the character Raiden Shogun nearby and allow you to chat with her. He will leave with the Dango Milk as you begin a cutscene with her.
She will tell you about a game that she had spotted on the beach earlier called ‘Akitsu Yuugei.’ After this, you will head back to the site of the Test of Courage. You can take the path you took back to the location you came from, where you will find Itto waiting.
You’ll begin a cutscene with Itto, where he will ask you to begin scaring people with him. To reach the location where Itto wants to meet, you can head back down the path to reach the spot just in front of a tree.
The next cutscene will involve The Traveler, Paimon, and Itto jumping out in front of a few kids to scare them. Your group will run away, thinking they are ghosts, to which Itto suggests splitting up and finding them again. Head to the next location nearby to a tree. There will be a mysterious unknown woman here, calling herself ‘Chizuru,’ who will make you pass out.
You’ll then be awoken by Heizou, who will tell you he is there on a commission to investigate the game found on the beach or ‘Akitsu Yuugei.’ He will mention that a few people have experienced strange occurrences on the beach, including being stuck in a game of Akitsu Yuugei for hours. He will then leave to go investigate more, which will complete the mission.
‘Test Of Courage’ Quest Rewards
After completing the first part of this event, you will receive a few rewards. These include:
- 30x Primogems
- 2x Hero’s Wit
- 20,000x Mora
- 4x Mystic Enhancement Ore
At the completion of this quest, you will then be able to participate in the following quests for the event, including ‘Leisurely Pastime’ and ‘Shatterdark.’
