Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days is a few weeks away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t grab some excellent discounted items today. Deals are available in a variety of categories, too, such as travel gear, kitchen appliances and electronics.
Most of the deals don’t require you to be an Amazon Prime member, either, though the actual Big Deal Days event does require a Prime membership. If you do decide to join Prime ahead of Big Deal Days, you can also try to get some invite-only deals ahead of the event.

When is Prime Big Deal Days?
Prime Big Deal Days take place on Oct. 10 and 11. They start at midnight on Oct. 10 in your region and run for exactly 48 hours, so get ready.
How to sign up for Amazon Prime
Signing up for Amazon Prime ahead of Big Deal Days is painless. All you need to do is first create a free Amazon account. This is something you need to take advantage of early deals anyway. Once you’ve done that, click the link to join Prime and follow the instructions to complete your sign-up.
If you’ve never signed up for Prime before, or it’s been at least 12 months since you were last an Amazon Prime member, you can get a 30-day free trial of the service. Make a note on your calendar to cancel the service on your 28th day, just to be safe, if you don’t want to pay for Prime past your trial.
Invite-only Prime Big Deal Days Deals
If you’re already a Prime member or you choose to sign up early, there are six exclusive invite-only Prime deals you can request access to once the event begins in earnest. To request access, you need to go to the item’s page and click the “request invite” button. If selected, you’ll receive an email with a unique link to buy that item sometime during the event. Not following through has no downside, so request away if you’re even slightly interested.
